Get well soon George Best

George Best is still trying to battle with health problems-I wish him well and hope he recovers soon.I havent agreed with his bumping to the top of the list for a liver transplant, but realise that this was done to raise the profile of organ donations-which we need more people to consider doing.

That's a right posh hospital he is staying in; he will be very well cared for.

I wonder if they will slip him a quick bottle of rum under his pillow.

yes I wish him well but I'm just sooooooooooooo angry with him, just how many chances does he want!
I'm sorry but if he was bumped up the transplant queue as a PR excercise then couldn't they have raised awareness by bringing in another patient who's been waiting for much longer and just made sure there was full media coverage of it by getting in "max what's his name"
I get so angry when celebs abuse substance over and over again and expect every one to rally around after them.

they have a high profile and are role models for our young people so although they might like to think that he has helped to raise profile for donors, they's do better to tell the teenagers not to binge drink or they'll end up like him.

I don't think he'll ever get better. I feel sorry for the relatives of the person who's liver went to George.

apparantly george best is critically ill tonight and is on life support. i would not wish this on anyone, but i have to agree that it rankles me that i have extensive cancer in my liver which nothing can be done for, and i haven't touched alcohol for more than 20 years, and only tried a little before that as a teenager but didn't like it! i have looked after my liver all my life, but can't get any treatment for the disease. he's been given a new liver, that someone has donated from a loved one who has probably died ptragically or suddenly, and hes continued to abuse it. i know alcoholism is an illness too, but you can take the pee with illness like everything else and not do yourself any favours.
